APO Members in UP Student Council
Bro Nemesio Canete II and Bro Mikhael Lenin Bueno landed 7th and 10th places respectively for the position of University Student Council (USC) Councilor. Canete is in his 3rd year as BS Business Administration student from the College of Business Administration while Bueno is a 3rd year Philosophy major from the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy.
Both brothers ran under the banner of Student Alliance for the Advancement of Democratic Rights in UP (STAND UP), the biggest and most comprehensive alliance of organizations, fraternities and sororities including UP APO Fraternity.
University Student Council is the highest student council in UP Diliman composed of USC Chairperson, USC Vice-Chairperson, 12 USC Councilors and College Representatives. Three political parties competed in this year`s university and college student council elections. STAND UP secured the USC Vice-Chairperson position, seven (7) USC Councilors, and six (6) College Representatives.
Meanwhile, Bro Gemz Sermeno was elected College Councilor of the UP College of Fine Arts Student Council (CFA-SC).
Winners of the UP Student Council elections were announced past 2 am, 5 March 2008 by Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs Elizabeth Enriquez.
